A Film by Pascale Berkovich (Israel, 2002, 50 Minutes, Color, Hebrew, English subtitles)
When Pascale was seventeen, she slipped into the railway tunnel in Paris. She was ran over by a train and lost her two legs.
A year later, she made Aliya, volunteered to serve in the IDF and later joined the Israeli Paralympic swimmers' team. Fifteen years after she left, she comes back to document her former teammates in their journey to the Paralympic games in Sydney 2000. It's a dream team, with a few gold medals and world records expected.
Pascale seems like the perfect director: who could be better for such a task? Apparently, she's one of them. But things get complicated as the team refuses to cooperate with her.
Alongside the emotional moments when the Israeli anthem is played in the pool after a gold medal is achieved, Pascale undergoes a brave personal journey by herself, contemplating whether one leads his fate and actually opts to be disabled.
